Pioneer Cabin Endurance Ride
Amy reported that it may be possible to get a large tent from the National Guard. We would need to put up a bond for the amount of the tent. The chuckwagon dinner would cost $500 plus the cost of the food. The group discussed other options like getting Martin's Hams. Amy and Bobbi worked on the 501c3. Liz brought some more bank statements from 2005 and 2006. The application would cost $300.
Ride awards were discussed. One idea was to print each rider's picture and mount it on a piece of barn wood. We need to collect barn wood and work out the details with the photographer (TBD).
T-shirts need to be figured out.
Bill Brown will be the head vet. He has an associate that he would like to use. Bobbi will contact Dr. Liska to get the ride on his schedule.
A volunteer list with job descriptions is needed.
Spring Thaw Horse Show
The open breed show is scheduled for May 20 at Dr. Rae's Arena in Helena. Ribbons need to be ordered. A judge needs to be contacted. Posters need to be made. An ad should be put in the Adit. Amy will email the premium list to Liz to finalize. Amy will research alternative insurance.
Bobbi will work on a silent auction and used tack sale for the show.
Due to the weather and small group the meeting adjourned early.
OTHER BUSINESS
Mark needs a copy of the club history to put up on the website.
