Meeting started with the Treasurers Report by Amy Palmer Pioneer Cabin 2008 Expenses at $4,454. Revenue total $4,852. Net Income = $368 The club balance as of Dec 3, 2008 is $2543.
Dates for the 2009 Pioneer Cabin Ride were discussed. The conflicting dates of the AERC National Championship in Greenville California makes our traditional dates of in mid Sept. a bad date to have the ride. Club members discussed not having the race this year and doing a Judged Trail Ride, or Scavenger Hunt. Brenda thought we should do another clinic. Maybe a 1.5 hour clinic inside at the college or civic center for people interested. GENERAL COMMENT:
Everyone loved the camp, the vet staff, the countryside, the volunteers and they want to come back! YEAH.
Club Decisions:
- Final decision was to have the race August 15th and 16th 2009
- Sheri Heffelfinger will be the ride manager and Drin Becker will be the assistant ride manager.
- Julie and Amy will mark the trail and make the map.
- Louie is on for the helping organize and pass out awards after the awards committee collects/decides on awards
- Anne is on for P & R at the out-check and Jerry is on for the in and out timer at the out-check
- This year we are not offering a 75 mile race. Instead we are offering a 2 day 100, a 50 for each day, and 25 mile for each day. We will have the out vet check and will supply hay and lunch to riders at the out check.
- 7 Prices next year are $70 for the 25, $90 for the 50, $150 for the 2 day 100. This price includes Saturday night dinner with extra meal tickets available.
Kathleen Stevens and Steve offered to do the same job as last year. Water hole at the Priest Pass parking area & tent raising. Club members will be encouraged to ride at least one day of the ride. Home court advantage available to any who wants to come and help with the trail.
